A câmara “a la minute” é uma caixa fotográfica portátil, que surgiu no início do século XIX, e tornava a fotografia acessível e “instantânea” à generalidade das pessoas.

Atualmente existe um reduzido número de fotógrafos ambulantes que ainda exerçam esta atividade, tornando-se importante preservar e divulgar esta singular referência da fotografia clássica.

A kamra-e-faoree é uma câmara “a la minute” originária do Afeganistão, com características muito particulares ao nível de design e funcionamento, que desenvolvemos com o auxilio do Afghan Box Camera Project para utilização nos trabalhos que realizamos.

“a la minute” camera is a portable box camera, which emerged in the early nineteenth century, and made photography accessible and “instant” to most of the people.

Currently there are a very limited number of street photographers who are still engaged in this activity, making it important to preserve and promote this unique reference of classic photography.

The kamra-e-faoree is an “a la minute” camera from Afghanistan, very particular in terms of design and operation, that we developed with the help of Afghan Box Camera Project in order to use it in our work.
